Universal AV and Universal Live are pleased to announce it will be supporting Grace House, a children's charity supporting children and young people from across the North East, with complex disabilities, health needs and life limiting conditions, as its chosen charity this year.
The charity was chosen after the Newcastle office of Universal AV in conjunction with Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group helped the charity. The trust donated a flat screen TV to the charity and Universal worked with them to fit the screen free of charge, including all cables, wall plates and testing. The team undertaking the work were so moved by Grace House, they all put forward to support them for the Universal Charity of the Year.
Members of Universal have already visited the charity and Dr Karen Parry, CEO of Grace House, commented; “We are delighted to have the support of both Universal Live and Universal AV and to be their charity of the year. We have ambitious plans to enhance our short break service for disabled children by providing music therapy, sports coaching and independent living skills. The support from Universal will help us to deliver these additional services, and to launch our new family support services, where we hope to offer counselling, therapies and support groups to the children’s family members.”
The Charity carries out amazing work and the teams at both companies are excited about working with the charity and organising their first event.
Jon Eden, Managing Director Universal Group Holdings, comments; “Our entire team were behind the decision to donate to Grace House this year, and everyone is looking forward to supporting and helping to develop the wonderful work that the charity does on a daily basis. Working together I believe that we can really make a difference in the lives of the children and families that use the service.”
