Universal Staff Speak with their Feet in Support of Grace House Children’s Charity
In a bold attempt to raise money for its chosen Charity, Universal AV and Universal Live are undertaking a Sponsored walk from 3 of its main locations, with 2 staff talking that a step further and pounding the streets in the spectacle that is The Great North Run.
Since choosing Grace House as its chosen charity, staff from Universal AV and Live have hosted mini events to raise funds in support of the charity culminating in the sponsored walk and The Great North Run.
Natasha O’Grady and Wesley McCullough ran the Great North Run in respectable times of 2 hours 14 minutes and 2 hours 18 minutes and are recovering well with people in the office making cups of tea and bringing biscuits so the feet and blisters can heal.
The walks are taking place over a course of a month, where we are hoping to walk the distance between Newcastle to Cardiff a total of 315 miles between our furthermost offices. The first walks have taken place and high spirits have been encountered as well as the occasional hip flask.
Jon Eden, Managing Director Universal Group Holdings, comments; “Since the decision to make Grace House our chosen charity, the teams at Universal AV and Live have worked on fundraising events, from sausage sandwich mornings, bake offs, a family fun day, walking and half marathons. The teams have worked with passion to raise money to really make a difference in the lives of the children and families that use the services of Grace House.”
